Success Story – Structured Project Engineering

CheckSum LLC, a supplier of board test systems was being asked by their customers to provide a better solution for high speed In System Programming (ISP) of devices. The only solutions available were both slow and expensive. Because there was a significant time pressure to develop and bring the solution to market, ASP was asked to lead the effort.

Using ASP’s structured project management approach, the customer and ASP defined the problem and generated a statement of requirements (SOR). Next ASP worked with the customer to develop the statement of work (SOW) which defined the deliverables and commitments for the project, including scheduling and costs. The advanced design was delivered on time and within budget.

MW_onboard_150pxThe resulting product, Multiwriter ISP System, offers the customer a high-speed, serial ISP programming option that could simultaneously program up to 24 serial ISP devices per board. The product won a “Best in Test” award at a major tradeshow. A US Patent (Patent #7802021) was issued to this design.

TMW_BestIntest“ASP delivered a total solution on time and on budget. As a small company, we really appreciated their technical expertise and the organized approach they brought to the process. They kept the engineering project organized and on schedule. We found the ASP engineers easy to work with, accessible, and very responsive. Without ASP, we could not have gotten our new product to market.”
